Welcome back to another weekly serving of the Roots Rock Rebel podcast! On the show this week, we continue our preview coverage of the 4th annual Montreal Ska Festival, going down in our fair city from October 11-14. Our special guest on the program this week was Roy Radics, vocalist of the long-standing NYC ska group The Rudie Crew! The band will be playing the first Canadian gig ever at the Mtl ska festival this fall. Radics, originally from Tottenham, England, spoke to us about his UK roots in ska and dancehall, the history of the band, and The Rudie Crew’s most recent album “This is Skragga!”.
