Le Chelsea Beat on Roots Rock Rebel! August 15 podcast

Roots Rock Rebel
Wednesday, August 15, 2012
10pm-12am, CKUT, 90.3 FM, Montreal

Hello radio massive!

Welcome to another weekly podcast of Roots Rock Rebel. We have another epic show in the digital trough for your all this week. It’s another freak beat mod attack! Our special guests on the program this week were Daniel and Stephane, the two guitarists of Le Chelsea Beat, an upcoming mod/garage rock outfit from Montreal. In their own words, the band is vintage, not retro! They dish out high energy mod-freak beat à la Montréalaise, with most of their songs in French, and some in English.

Le Chelsea Beat have a new debut full-length album out on Brooklyn’s Killer Diller records. Be sure to check them out!

Also on the show this week, we heard some brand spankin’ new tunes from the Phoenix City Allstars, The Fundamentals, Jimmy Cliff, and Clinton Sly. Be sure to tune in to the program next Wednesday at 10pm for an interview with The Drop Steady from Chicago!

Until next week, stay rude, and stay rebel
