Managers Band, EP release party – 1 May 2010 (The Thirsty Dog, Auckland, NZ)
The EP that New Zealand Ska/Two-Tone/Rocksteady/Reggae fans were all waiting for has finally arrived and Nick Brown of Managers band is here to tell us all about it. A move from their kick-ass two-tone ska sound on previous albums, Managers band deliver a hearty dose of reggae/rocksteady/conscious/roots flavoured songs.
No strangers to high profile summer festivals, Managers have shared the stages of New Zealand with their inspirations The Skatalites, The Beat and Neville Staples’ Specials. Testament to their musical diversity, Managers are also at home with Punk legends such as UK Subs and are soon to perform alongside The Vibrators.

I love this band and I try to get to alot of their gigs if possible. They are so versitile in their sounds so some is fast and some is slow but every time a brilliant gig and good for all ages and types of people. The dudes in the band are also very friendly and approachable, I’m 43 and I love to introduce anyone to their music ….JO SMITH
